The primary purposes of Parent Advisiory Committees are to:
- provide a forum for consultation between the school and parents on matters of general concern to the school community
- assist with and contribute to various school related activities
- promote the development of positive school-community relations
All parents and guardians at Dixon are members of the Dixon Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) and the Richmond District Parents Assciation (RDPA) We encourage you to attend the monthly meetings along with the school administration and the members of the PAC Executive.
The administration team and educators at Dixon value the parental voice. It is a great way to make a difference and learn more about your child's education system. Parents have important insights and understandings that can enhance decision making in schools.
Parents that get involved find out what is happening in their school and are able to provide input to ensure that the school meets the needs of all students. We post the upcoming agenda on this web site along with the minutes from the previous meetings. If there is a topic that you would like to discuss at a meeting please contact Megan Riter, our chair or Jas Dhaliwal, our vice chair, at dixonpac@gmail.com or leave a message at the school office. Don't forget to also check the "brick wall" outside the office for notices.
