We are keeping our fingers crossed for nice weather next week.  That said, this field trip happens rain or shine.  Please take note of the following items so that everyone can have a fun and safe day:

• Buses depart from Dixon at approximately 9:00am
• Buses return to Dixon at approximately 2:00pm
• We do not have room to take parents on the bus with us.  If parents are going to / wanting to attend, they need to find their own transportation to and from the beach.
• Students travelling to the beach with parents need to let us know in advance.  All students must sign in and out with their teacher.  Students being transported by parents may go directly home.
• In order for students to be allowed to travel and leave with another adult, we need written permission in advance.  Otherwise, all children will travel on the bus and will be returned to the school.

• Students need to pack to be at the beach for the day.  Appropriate clothes and footwear for the weather.  Layers are suggested.
• Students need to bring a snack and lunch.  Students are not permitted to visit the concession stands during our trip.  Students should not bring money or their cell phones.
• Sunscreen, a water bottle, hat and a towel are all recommended.  Swimming is not permitted.  We are scheduled to be at the beach at LOW TIDE.  Children are allowed to explore the tidal zone, which will be generally supervised.
• Items like frisbees, sand toys, beach balls, etc. are allowed.

• Students not attending beach day will be required to stay home as there are no personnel remaining at the school.
