- Rick Hansen awards to be given
- Final report cards posted on June 25th on e-portfolio.
- Learning Spaces Grant denied, however, there are a limited number of grants, there are also zoning and city of Richmond issues that need to be addressed. Plan is to expand the school committee involved and to reapply. This is often more than a 1-time application process.
- Covid-friendly Track and Field awards handed out.
- School District has asked for feedback about which COVID 19 procedures staff would like to keep for the 2021/ 2022 school year? Dixon has benefited from the more calm and organized school entry and exit procedures. Dixon students have also benefited from having two 30-minutes “punches” per day, which has been good for fitness, attention and socialization. Having teachers in classrooms with students during meals have worked really well.
6. Treasurer’s Report
i. Gaming account: current reconciled bank balance $6,920.44.
ii. General Fund account: current reconciled bank balance $25,491.45
Treasurer provided a table with comparison for total fundraising deposits verses total fundraising deposits for the past 3 years. It was noted that there was a 74% profit margin for 2021, as compared to an average off a 33% for 2020 and 2019. This is something to consider for future fundraising efforts.
7. Fundraising Committee’s Report
- Dixon Craft Fair binder to be completed and a copy provided to Jenn. The binder will contain necessary information for the planning and organization of the Craft Fair for future parents/ PAC. The is the primary fundraising event at Dixon.
- Finished the Tacos to you Dine-to-Donate event (awaiting fundraising amount), Planters ($800.00 profit), and Pies ($580.00 profit).
- Lyn noted that flyers with information about the Pies fundraising event were handed out in the Dixon neighbourhood and several seniors placed an order and were very happy to support the school.
- Current fundraiser: Dine-to-Donate with WinWin Chicken, with 15% of proceeds going back to Dixon.
- Final fundraisers for the 2020/2021 school year are coffee and donuts. Information will be emailed to parents.
- Ongoing affiliations include FlipGive and Oliver’s Labels and Herbal Glo. Herbal Glo has an affiliate link for Dixon and will provide 20% discount, and 20% of proceeds to Dixon PAC. Dixon PAC has ongoing accounts with the companies so parents/ families can order any time.
