  5. Treasurer Report
    1. Jenn went over the budget as Billie/Florence not here. We must discuss the spending of the Operation Funds as we need to disperse some of the funds.
  6. Chair Report
    1. Budget Planning
      1. Should talk about earmarking funds for September for field trips
      1. Kirsten sending out reminders to all teachers to get their receipts in by April 30th for reimbursements
      2. The PAC currently funds field trips on a per division basis, however, should consider moving to a per student funding model next year.
      3. We must disperse funds from Operational:
        1. If we give Kirsten budget now, then she can get the info out to the teachers and they can in advance for September
        2. Ipad carts (we have three) -- we’ll need one cart (28 ipads) replaced at end of June 2024 but K thinks we can make use of district funds first; the imac cart is used all the time
        3. Kirsten likes providing experiences like iride ($1,200); swimming lessons
        4. Ideas: Shawne to pass info to Laurel Peterson about author visit Udayana Lugo ($200-$300 possibly?); Colleen and Kirsten use the Paper program vs. ProCreate
        5. PAC wants to fully fund the Jericho Trip and treat the school to lunch (360 people x $5 = $1,500). – Lisa passed motion and Shawne seconded to give $2,000 total for food portion of trip (on top of the buses)
        6. PAC could put in $1,200 for the iride program for next year
        7. Kirsten will look at in-school performance options between $600-$1,200
        8. Next meeting we will talk about buying a Square Machine
        9. Bump the staff appreciation budget to $800; Teg motioned in favour, seconded by Shawne, all in favour, motion passed – Week of May 8th is Teacher/Admin Appreciation Week *snacks for the week*
        10. Natural Play Structures – Teg going to talk to Ms. Mennie’s husband about possibly coming in to talk about options (Kirsten fundraised for something similar at Quilchena). Let’s put it out there for discussion.
    1. PAC Executive Positions

May 17th is AGM; Treasurer role (ideally someone with bookkeeping experience; must do a lot of cheque writing, use QuickBooks, apply for gaming grants, balancing the funds; Florence available to help a bit) and Chair role is open; there is some training through a parent committee; we need to get more parents involved in general; we should promote this on Kindergarten Intro day on May 11th with the sheet that Jenn made

    1. AGM
      1. May 17th is AGM and we need to fill positions for next year
  1. Fundraising Update
    1. Theresa says May 5th is next movie night – Encanto will be shown; more cheese pizza needs to be ordered for this time!
    2. Sign up link for volunteers; some high schoolers want to help
    3. Parents can’t just drop off the kids and person taking donations may need to let parents know they can’t just drop off
  2. Lunch Days Update
    1. 4 more hot lunches this school year; Lisa not available to continue volunteering in this role and some parents will help the last few of this year
    2. No one has yet stepped up to do the Hot Lunch coordination next year; Lisa talking with some folks who might be able to share the position; if no one steps up then the Hot Lunch program will not operate next year (need more than one person to admin this)
    3. The job begins in August, dates must coordinate with the school calendar; hot lunch days can be any day of the week
    4. We can do anything like pizza days or purely bring-in hot lunches; we’ve already paid for Munch n Lunch until the end of 2023
