- Welcome & Introductions
- Review and Approval of Agenda
- The agenda was approved by Lisa.
- Review and Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting
- The minutes of the last meeting were approved by Lisa.
- Administrator Report
- A fence has been put up around the outdoor classroom.
- Ride Roll Walk to School was a success with 78-125 students participating each day. The $50 Sport Chek gift card from PAC was awarded.
- The Entrepreneur Fair raised around $1500 for charity.
- Beach day field trip was a success.
- Admin provided an update on the staff changes for next school year and the seismic update. See the school newsletter for updates.
- Treasurer Report
- Budget Review
- Billie Caffrey presented information on the PAC funds. The gaming fund account has $6158.90 ($325.00 is budgeted). The operations fund account has $40,961 ($8580.00 is budgeted).
- There is $1255 remaining in the classroom allotments fund at the time of the report.
- The scholarship for McMath has not been requested at the time of the report.
- The school wide beach trip that the PAC funded came in $52 under budget.
- Budget Review

- 2023-2024 Gaming Fund Allocation - Field Trips
- The PAC executive decided to not vote on budgeting field trip funds for next year, however it is recommended to budget $12-14 per student at a minimum at the October budget meeting from gaming funds.
- Kirsten recommended that the PAC allocate $25 per student for grade 6/7 to support the camp trip.
- Fundraising Update
- The end of year BBQ profited approximately $1500, however the Stripe fees need to be removed from that total.
- The PAC has extra food (candy, chips, pop). This will be donated to the Dixon staff.
- Fundraising events for the 2023-24 school year are planned to be four movie nights (September, December, February, April), a year end BBQ, and Purdys (sale to open in October).
- There was discussion about potentially buying grill for future events.
- The Dixon Craft Fair has been scheduled to take place on November 23, 2023.
- A neighbourhood grant has been awarded to Dixon. A potential option for using the funds is the Pumpkin Run, which can be opened to people who live in the neighbourhood.
- Lunch Days Update
- Lisa and Wendy are leaving the lunch days leader positions. Parent volunteers for the 2023-24 school year are Lynsey and Rose (backend operations), along with Maggie, Taylor, and Stephanie (frontend operations).
- Lunches will start in October.
- Info on volunteering will be sent out in early September.
- Chair Report
- Jenn, Teg, and Billie are leaving their executive positions this school year. Jenn thanked all volunteers for a great year.
