TTOP Chicken (Taiwanese Fried Chicken)

  • New hot lunch vendor presents their restaurant
  • 10/38 schools have partnered with them at this moment
  • Seven dishes were brought today, but five are recommended for hot lunch in two different sizes with one option vegetarian
  • They only use scallion oil from chicken skin and there are no allergens in the food except for one item that uses sesame oil

Chair Report

  • Colleen thanks everyone for their time/energy for volunteering
  • Feedback on the photos with edge imaging

Treasurer’s Report

  • Gaming account balance $12,600
  • Operating account balance is approximately $56,000
  • The hot lunch net profit is $7600
  • Almost every class did the Brick Connections workshop and used up a good portion of their budgets
  • Craft fair vendors almost all paid up about $2000
  • Gaming report will be signed and send before the end of the month
  • There are financial statements along with the budget that are accessible for all parents

Administrator’s Report

  • FSA’s are finished, marking happens this weekend and then will be returned to parents
  • December 18 the progress reports will be sent out
  • Gym will be available for craft fair use and set up on Wednesday, however there is currently no heat in the gym and it is not completely ready; the stage and kitchen will also not be ready
  • Winter wonderland will take place on December 15th in the morning and parent drivers are needed; there will be two time slots (9:15-10:15 and 10:30-11:30); the cost will be covered by the PAC with a total of $1,200
    • We already approved $500 from general funds towards Winter Wonderland skating. Jenna moves that we amend the budget so that the balance of the Winter Wonderland expense ($700) is pulled from our gaming budget allocation for school-wide events.
  • December 18 at 6pm there will be an evening winter performance for parents and an afternoon dress rehearsal that parents may attend as well
  • Jingle bell run will occur on December 5th and PAC will provide $500
  • Swimming lessons were discussed amongst the parents and concerns were raised whether our youngest divisions were ready to participate; PAC suggested Mr Murray and admin/staff consider whether excluding kindergartens and grade 1s and/or grade 2s might be more realistic. Lessons will take place at Watermania (younger children) and Minoru (older children) from January to May and will be a cost of $50/student and will be paid by parents; PAC contribution will cover transportation (exact bus costs TBC). The budget currently has $2775 approved for swimming lesson support, but we may review this once final details are settled.

RDPAC update

  • Held PAC 101 which is an introduction to various PAC positions, and they provided a good opportunity to connect with other PACs

  • We won’t be using sushi lovers again and they have offered to give a partial refund
  • Next week the hot lunch will occur on Wednesday because of the craft fair on Thursday
